Let’s Talk About Family
Every family is different: Routines, schedules, hobbies and even favorite meals can all vary within different households. It is helpful to talk to children about how every family is different and to model tolerance and respect for others. Talking about (and celebrating) family can help build children’s language skills, as well as help them understand where they come from. Learning that there are many ways to be a family helps your kids build empathy and accept diversity as normal fact of life, setting them up for success in a richly diverse world.
